Save for now. Get to it later
Never stress about expired links again. Discover how WeTransfer's ‘save for later’ feature lets you store and access important files whenever you need them.
We've all been there—rushing to download a file only to find that dreaded message: "This link has expired." Cue the frantic messages to the sender and mild panic about potentially missing deadlines. Losing an important file when you need it is a pain many users know too well. It's practically a rite of passage. Thankfully, at WeTransfer, we have introduced a new feature exclusively on the WeTransfer mobile app to tackle this head-on.
"Introducing “Save for Later" in the WeTransfer App
The new "Save for Later" feature in the WeTransfer iOS, iPad, and Android apps will help you avoid expired links and those awkward "Can you send it again?" moments. We get it. You're busy and distracted; sometimes, that notification you meant to check slips through the cracks. You can now save a transfer you received for later, extending the expiration date to 30 days or longer if you're on a paid plan or 3 or 7 days with a free account. You get more time to preview transfers and decide whether to download files on your mobile device, send-to-self, or copy a transfer link and paste it into your browser to view on the web.
Your saved transfers are neatly organized in a section within the WeTransfer app so you can find them when you need them. Plus, you gain full control over how long you can access your files, cutting out the need for awkward follow-ups. And the best part? You get peace of mind, knowing your files are safe and sound, avoiding missed deadlines and lost documents.
How to Use Save For Later in the WeTransfer App
Here's your step-by-step guide to using save for later:

Access Files When You Need Them: Access the files you save in the app anytime you want. This lets you easily keep track of and access your saved files in a dedicated section of the app.
